Letters, 1861-1863.

Group of twelve manuscript letters addressed to his sisters from various army camps in Maryland and Virginia. His letters contain detailed descriptions of battles and skirmishes, particularly at Fair Oaks, Fredericksburg, and Gettysburg. He also wrote about his experiences of camp life, picket duty, and deployment at the signal station.
